Fitness Rules
Follow these basic rules to stay fit and healthy for life!
- Eat only when you’re hungry. Think about it: are you eating that pastry because you’re hungry or because someone offered you one? Are you eating the last few bites on your child’s plate because you’re hungry or because you don’t want it to go to waste?
- Eat healthy foods. You know the drill: lean protein, fruits & vegetables, whole grains, etc.
- Drink plenty of plain water. You should have a minimum of 8 glasses per day to keep your body functioning properly.
- Work out every day. At least 30 minutes a day is recommended but if you are having one of those days where you only have 10 spare minutes, at least use those 10 minutes! Something is always better than nothing!
- If you break any of rules 1 – 4, forget about it and move on. Don’t feel guilty and, whatever you do, don’t use a slip-up as an excuse to give up!
